Unit aim
Supports the design and development of an independent research project in education. Through this project, students collect and analyse data or work with an existing data set that is relevant to practising teachers. Students present and discuss their research in a format suitable for a professional audience.
Unit content
Module 1 Exploring questions, aims and objectives.
Module 2 Exploring paradigms, approaches and ethical designs.
Module 3 Ways of conceptualising and collecting data.
Module 4 Ways of exploring and analysing data.
Module 5 Ways of presenting findings for a professional audience.
Module 6 Ways of discussing data and making meaning.
Learning outcomes
