Unit aim
Develops students' understanding of the link between theory, research, and pedagogy for English across the modes of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the early childhood and primary classroom. Students will develop the practical skills necessary for the role of teacher as assessor, planner, and facilitator of the development of English curriculum and pedagogy. Students will learn to design teaching, learning and assessment strategies that maximise student engagement and inclusivity and employ ICTs for teaching English.

4 | prepare a portfolio of resources and teaching activities for English; Speaking and Listening, Reading, and Viewing incorporating the Australian Curriculum General Capabilities (ICT) and Cross Curriculum Priorities |
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
