Unit aim
Increases students' awareness, knowledge and experience in understanding the diverse learning needs in educational settings. Explores issues related to working and teaching in various contexts, including social justice, equity, rights and diversity of cultural, refugee and Indigenous perspectives in local, national and international contexts.
Unit content
Topic 1: Human rights, social justice and equity.
Topic 2: Snapshots of learner wellbeing
Topic 3: Measuring learner wellbeing.
Topic 4: Learner achievement and the influence of social, economic and cultural factors.
Topic 5: Inhibiting factors that impact on learner achievement and wellbeing.
Topic 6: Enabling programs that support learner achievement and wellbeing.
Learning outcomes
