Unit aim
Encourages students to value career-long professional learning and provides an opportunity for students to investigate a classroom, school or community-based educational problem or issue of their own choosing and to present the findings in a format suitable for professional dissemination.
Unit content
- The role of professional and research literature and professional groups in supporting ongoing professional learning (including professional organisations, conferences, websites, journals and magazines)
- Planning for your investigation
- Conducting your investigation
- Presenting findings from your investigation.
The topic of the project will be determined through negotiation between the student and the unit assessor or his/her nominee.
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit.
