ENM10266 Product Technology and Design I
Unit aim
Focuses on the development of knowledge and understanding of the Design and Technologies and Digital Technologies subjects of the Australian Curriculum up to Years 7 & 8. The New South Wales Technology Mandatory Years 7 & 8 course and the materials, tools and techniques related to a range of technologies associated with this curriculum. There is also an emphasis on the development of skills in the selection of materials, safe use of tools and equipment and appropriate techniques that will be developed through practical application in a workshop environment. Related WH&S issues will be addressed.
Unit content
The structure, teaching and management of Technologies subjects in Years 7 & 8.
Activities and processes undertaken by designers including the thinking skills and considerations in realising appropriate, ethical and environmentally responsible design solutions.
