Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

3 analyse the advantages and disadvantages of a range of communication forms used in the design and technology industries
4 outline the criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of communication
5 demonstrate skill in a range of techniques used to visualise design solutions including the use of graphic software to communicate design ideas and solutions effectively
6 critically reflect on the application of design communication such as graphics and CAD/Modelling software to support projects in the Design and Technology course.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
