Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 identify and analyse effective modes of computer-based presentation and publishing in relevant social, cultural, political and economic contexts
2 discuss how to conceptualise and communicate ideas using desktop media tools for specific audiences, purposes and applications
3 understand technical standards for capture, manipulation, storage and distribution of digital images
4 apply principles of design (visual and information) to the structure and presentation of media content in digital formats
5 demonstrate skills in computer-assisted design, layout and publishing of both print and screen-based media presentations
6 discuss professional issues in desktop publishing including copyright and IP, and project management.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
