Students construct a comprehensive, evidence-based understanding of the application of clinical exercise physiology for the provision of effective exercise interventions in multidisciplinary settings.

Unit content

  • Pathological and pathophysiological bases of:
    • Respiratory/pulmonary conditions
    • Cancer and co-morbidities
    • Kidney diseases and co-morbidities
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ongoing support for maintenance of exercise
  • Clinical reasoning in client care

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
