Introduces students to the use of creativity in a range of artistic disciplines and professional settings. It investigates the relation between artistic innovation and the cultural industries of the past and present, with an emphasis on issues such as collaboration, interdisciplinarity, economic sustainability and identity. Creativity is examined as an important yet enigmatic skill set that can serve to reinvigorate communities and forge new professional opportunities.
