Unit description

In this Work Integrated Learning (WIL) unit, students will extend their work-based experience through the same placement used for Internship A, or an alternative discipline-specific industry placement. This double-weighted unit enables students to demonstrate their competencies as an emerging professional and evaluate contemporary issues facing organisations in their chosen field.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate development in employability skills and professionalism

reflect on your emergent professional identity and capabilities

evaluate the skills and qualities required for success as a manager or supervisor in an industry setting

evaluate contemporary management and/or professional issues relevant to an organisation and its work.
