Topic 5: Disorders of the hepatobiliary system
Topic 6: Disorders of the respiratory system
Topic 7: Disorders of the endocrine system
Topic 8:Disorders of the cardiovascular system
Topic 9: Disorders of the musculoskeletal system
Topic 10: Disorders of the renal system
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to: | GA1 | GA2 | GA3 | GA4 | GA5 | GA6 | GA7 | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | describe cellular changes that occur in various normal adaptive processes and in abnormal or disease processes | |||||||
2 | describe selected genetic and congenital disorders | |||||||
3 | explain neoplasia and its role in carcinogenesis, using specific examples | |||||||
4 | describe the pathophysiology of selected disease states of the gastrointestinal system, the respiratory system, the endocrine system, the cardiovascular system, the musculoskeletal system and the renal system |
