Unit aim
Introduces students to digital photographic techniques, concepts, materials, and processes. Students learn to understand and use the camera, lighting and software while completing a set of graded modules. Students will complete a thematic project in which personal artistic and technical interests are explored within a critical context.

Topic 1: Introduction to Digital Photography – Photoshop basics, pixels and file sizes
Topic 2: Photoshop – retouching, cut and paste
Topic 3: Camera 1 – shutter speed
Topic 4: Camera 2 – aperture
Topic 5: Camera 3 – lenses depth of field
Topic 6: Photography 1 – composition
Topic 7: Photography Test
