Unit aim

Introduces key concepts, principles, tools, contemporary issues and context of finance and financial management in order to prepare students for participation in making investment, financing and dividend decisions. Topics covered include the time value of money, the risk and return trade-off, capital budgeting, financing alternatives, capital structure and distribution policy.
