Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

identify how ‘wellbeing’ is defined and theorised.

explain the role that schools play in promoting students’ social and emotional wellbeing

critically engage with what students say helps and hinders their social and emotional wellbeing at school

evaluate approaches to supporting social and emotional wellbeing in schools

identify areas for change and improvement in schools in relation to student wellbeing.
