Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

communicate effectively with professionals, staff and clients

analyse knowledge (research and theory) and skills relevant to practice appropriate to the organisational context

apply knowledge (research and theory) and skills in assessing need and/or risk

actively participate in team processes and evaluate decision-making frameworks

demonstrate an understanding of practice ethics

critically evaluate processes and personal reflection in a human services context

evaluate human service organisational settings and discuss their impact on employees and clients.
