    International onshore students must enrol in the internal offering of this unit. Please note: WELF2001 - Field Education I AND WELF3001 - Field Education II, MUST be completed in SEPARATE years for accreditation purposes. In addition to the pre-requisites, it is advisable for students to have completed an additional 48 credit points (typically 4 units) in the Bachelor of Community Welfare to be fully prepared for field placement. This unit contains Work Integrated Learning (WIL) that requires students to meet mandatory fit to practice obligations prior to attending. Failure to comply by the fit to practice deadline will result in the cancellation of your WIL and you will not be permitted to continue in this unit. Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

develop and maintain professional and ethical relationships with clients, colleagues and supervisors

apply research theory and skills to practice, assessing need and/or risk, and mapping the network of services within the social and community services sector appropriate to organisation

participate in team processes applying decision making frameworks and evaluation processes in the human services context

apply practice guidelines and ethics, and personal reflection in the human services context.
