Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
apply observation and physical assessment of animal patients to competently identify and record normal parameters
demonstrate safe and effective use of medical equipment including handling sharps
use knowledge to competently perform calculations related to veterinary medication administration
describe and discuss preventative health care in a variety of species commonly encountered in veterinary practice while engaging in reflective practice.
