    For students in the Bachelor of Education Primary, and Primary/Secondary Specialisations, TCHR2005 Professional Experience II and TCHR2006 Professional Experience III are linked placements undertaken at the same school and normally within the same academic year. Students MUST provide evidence of compliance for all placement requirements prior to attending professional placement. Full details are available at www.scu.edu.au/education/education-profession/professional-experience/ Only ONE placement can be completed in a Term unless approval has been granted by the Director of Professional Experience. Students studying the Early Childhood/Primary Specialisation need to be enrolled or already completed TCHR2004.

Unit description

Provides students with the opportunity to practise and develop their learning and teaching in a professional environment. Before the placement, students undertake an orientation to prepare for the expectations and requirements of the professional environment. During the placement, students record and reflect on their experiences as informed by relevant course content and professional standards and principles. After the placement, students share their experiences and submit a portfolio as evidence of their engagement in the professional environment.

Learning outcomes
