    Early Enrolment Date: Students MUST enrol by the date specified by the Professional Experience Team so that a placement can be arranged. For students in the Bachelor of Education Primary, and Primary/Secondary Specialisations, TCHR2005 Professional Experience II and TCHR2006 Professional Experience III are linked placements undertaken at the same school and normally within the same academic year. Students MUST provide evidence of compliance for all placement requirements prior to attending professional placement. Students must comply with vaccination requirements of the placement providers. Failure to comply with requirements may result in a fail grade. Full details are available at www.scu.edu.au/education/education-profession/professional-experience/ Only ONE placement can be completed in a Term unless approval has been granted by the Director of Professional Experience. The 2022 Term 2 offering is ONLY available to pre-2022 students with an expected course completion by June 2023.

Unit description

Provides students with the opportunity to practise and develop their learning and teaching in a professional environment. Before the placement, students undertake an orientation to prepare for the expectations and requirements of the professional environment. During the placement, students record and reflect on their experiences as informed by relevant course content and professional standards and principles. After the placement, students share their experiences and submit a portfolio as evidence of their engagement in the professional environment.
