Unit description

Provides an opportunity to choose a pathway into the profession of teaching by: (i) the study of contemporary research and practice in the context of teaching selected and (ii) the satisfactory completion of the practicum including planning and observation days and a block period.

Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. 7 demonstrate their ethical understanding of issues related to their transition from pre- to in-service teacher in their chosen context and; engage in professional dialogue with other professionals about the issues, challenges and possibilities of teaching within a given context.
