Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

explain the role of social work in organisations

draw upon multiple organisational theories to analyse human service organisations and the social work role

critically reflect on the unique role of social work, practising ethically within an interdisciplinary context within and across organisations

identify ways in which the voice of service users can be heard and reflected in the operation of human service organisations

identify the role of supervision and theories informing leadership and management
