Unit description

Introduces students to statistical concepts and techniques relevant to their degree. Statistical tools to model and analyse real-world situations and data are developed, enabling students to enhance their decision-making skills. The interpretation and communication of the results obtained is emphasised. Throughout the unit, Excel will be used for statistical calculations.

Learning outcomes

Evaluate business and economic data that is characterised by uncertainty.

Apply regression modelling techniques to evaluate and inform decision making.
