Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate understanding of the elements of culturally responsive practice including cultural humility, self-awareness, cultural knowledge and/or cultural reciprocity
demonstrate critical self-reflection and reflective practice as it relates to diversity in speech pathology
demonstrate the ability to learn about the cultural and linguistic profile of another person through the form of an ethnographic interview
demonstrate understanding of the factors relevant to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and/or working in diverse contexts including rural and remote settings
