Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

apply both standardised and non-standardised assessment procedures with clients and interpret clinical data using the International Classification of Functioning (ICF) framework and relevant Competency-Based Occupational Standards (CBOS) to support clinical decisions.

identify intervention targets and formulate intervention plans and implement intervention in line with relevant elements and Units of the Competency-Based Occupational Standards (CBOS) and evidence-based practice information

apply appropriate interpersonal communication skills and ethical behaviour with people in the clinical context at all times

produce effective intervention sessions that demonstrate use of evidence-based practice and International Classification of Functioning that lead to appropriate recommendations and referrals through professional reporting as summarized in the Competency-Based Occupational Standards (CBOS).
