Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
describe and conduct processes involved in a hearing screening assessment and describe results
predict possible impact of hearing disorders on communication and speech pathology practice when working with children and/or adults
conduct multidimensional assessment of voice using valid, reliable and responsive voice outcome measures and document outcomes of assessment and measure treatment effect
identify, plan, and justify speech pathology assessment for investigating concerns related to voice production in children and/or adults
analyse and interpret assessment data to inform clinical description, diagnosis, and prognosis of voice disorders in children and/or adults
plan, describe, and justify direct and indirect speech pathology interventions to target voice disorders in children and/or adults
