    This double-weighted capstone unit requires students to apply a range of learning outcomes from a variety of appropriate units to an independent research-based project. The planning, development and implementation of the project will be supervised on a one-on-one basis by at least one academic supervisor from within the School. Students should be aware that any specific supervisor may not be available during a specific teaching session. If this is the case, the Unit Assessor will assist the student in finding a suitable academic supervisor, and will ensure that the student can complete the unit satisfactorily under appropriate academic supervision.

Unit description

Students identify a suitable environmental management/education/tourism issue or research topic. They use the skills they have gained throughout their degree to design a methodology suited to the issue and gather relevant information. Students prepare a project proposal, present a seminar and a report. The Integrated Project prepares students for the transition into professional life. The Integrated Project carries a weighting equivalent to two units.

Unit content

The Integrated Project requires students to work on an individual topic. Therefore, there is no syllabus.

Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit.
