Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

critically analyse and integrate an advanced body of knowledge of cardiovascular health and underlying principles and concepts into practice

autonomously design and deliver safe, effective and evidence based clinical exercise assessments and interventions for individuals with cardiovascular conditions

detect, analyse and appropriately respond to arrhythmias identified by means of ECG and non-ECG techniques

apply and adapt critical thinking and clinical reasoning to provide timely identification of, and response(s) to clinical safety risks for exercise for individuals with cardiovascular conditions

interpret and professionally communicate clinical status, treatment and intervention rationales, progression and outcome(s) to specialist and non-specialist audiences
