Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

use real-world case studies to explore the diverse experiences and challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals

consider the attributes and strengths neurodivergent individuals from a range of case examples and identify possible supports that foster inclusion and diversity, including personal supports, environmental supports and advocacy

examine legal and human rights frameworks that support neurodiversity across education, industry, disability, health sectors and beyond, ensuring the protection of individual rights and compliance with relevant laws and regulations

reflect on personal experiences of neurodiversity to foster a culture of inclusion and diversity
