Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
critically evaluate core areas of psychology from a cross cultural perspective
critically evaluate research methods used in cross cultural research
apply psychological knowledge to gain a greater understanding of issues which affect multicultural and Indigenous communities
critically examine current issues and debates related to cross-cultural and Indigenous issues in the national and global context
demonstrate an understanding of trans-generational issues in migrant and Indigenous societies today
demonstrate an understanding of how to be more effective in intercultural and cross cultural communication
demonstrate an understanding of some of the differences and commonalities between people from different social and cultural groups.
