Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

relate ways in which learning and memory have been studied, the critical results of these investigations, and theories that have been developed to account for these results

evaluate how knowledge of the theories and principles of learning and memory can be utilised in an applied context

appraise theories of learning and memory and related evidence in order to derive hypotheses about potential empirical tests of their principles

write a research report based on methods and data from a learning and/or memory study
