Unit description

This unit introduces students to contemporary approaches for understanding and influencing behaviour. Students will have opportunities to explore how behavioural science principles can be applied to diagnose, design, and evaluate behaviour change interventions in health and organisational contexts. Through these experiences, students will develop transferable skills in analysing and communicating evidence-based approaches to behaviour change.

Learning outcomes

identify and describe behaviours using behavioural science concepts and terminology

apply behavioural diagnosis frameworks to analyse determinants and barriers to behaviour change

design and justify evidence-informed behaviour change interventions using appropriate frameworks and techniques

evaluate and communicate the findings of behaviour change interventions using implementation science principles
