Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
describe and demonstrate different types of user interaction, feedback and user accessibility within interactive applications in the context of the User Experience
build documentation using design tools such as flowcharts, storyboards and pseudocode for complex user interactions
design and develop intuitive, user-friendly user interface and interaction designs in accordance with UX design principles
design and develop an interactive application to meet design specifications for different user groups, considering accessibility and featuring a variety of interactivity and feedback
analyse and adapt appropriate program development strategies and practices to develop modularised user-centred interactive web applications
integrate user-centred design methodologies into the development of a product and explain how this can impact the software development life cycle
evaluate and design methods of user-centred testing appropriate to determine effectiveness and user acceptance.
