Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

explain the scientific principles of diagnostic imaging techniques and laboratory investigations

interpret laboratory investigations, diagnostic imaging and reports in the assessment of lower limb conditions

demonstrate use of diagnostic ultrasound in the assessment of lower limb conditions

demonstrate appropriate referral for diagnostic imaging in the assessment of lower limb conditions

formulate conclusions regarding a patient’s health through integration of patient history, physical examination, and findings of diagnostic imaging and other assessments
