Unit description

Develops student capability to undertake a full scale planning project drawing on core skills from the statutory and strategic planning disciplines. This Capstone Project unit represents the culmination of the Regional and Urban Planning degree, integrating the knowledge and skills gained throughout the course, including planning theory and principles, practical planning, decision making, communication and management. The unit will also address the key competencies identified by the Planning Institute of Australia for the planning profession.

Major Project Formulation, Planning, Design, Management, Execution and Evaluation.

Writing Planning Instruments and Policy.

Integrating Core Planning Skills — Statutory and Strategic Planning.

Core Planning Competencies and their Application.
