Unit description

This unit prepares students for work integrated learning undertaken as clinical placements in their final year. Knowledge and skills from previous units will be explored and integrated in the safe and effective physiotherapy management of people with complex conditions, using a person-centred, evidence-based approach that is culturally responsive. Simulation based case scenarios will provide students with challenging situations to respond to, to prepare students for their final year of work integrated learning experience.  Additionally, students will enhance their professional behaviours and communication skills necessary across diverse settings including conducting online client consultation. Students will undertake a work integrated learning experience where they will learn and safely apply digital health skills as part of telehealth. As students transition into clinical placement, they will utilise skills acquired in this unit to enhance outcomes for individuals facing complex health issues across diverse cultures and settings.

Learning outcomes
