Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
design relevant structured questions and identify the best evidence for answering those questions
identify the most appropriate data sources for evidence related to relevant structured questions
demonstrate understanding of the main health research philosophical perspectives and methodologies including their assumptions and practical applications
distinguish between different evidence types and research designs
critically appraise primary and secondary evidence to answer relevant structured questions.
