On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
understand and review the key principles of governance and accountability within the health, social and community services and their impact on decision-making
demonstrate the linkage between healthcare governance, accountability, and develop a framework for service evaluation and improvement
critically evaluate the internal and external factors affecting the ways in which health workers interact with each other and the effect this has on the safe and quality services for consumers
report on the legal implications of governance and accountability in health, social and community services
