Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

critically evaluate the internal and external factors affecting the ways in which health workers interact with each other and the effect this has on client safety

integrate knowledge from neuroscience to explain the relationships between thoughts, feelings and behaviour

compare and contrast concepts, theories and models of social and emotional intelligence, competence and teamwork

integrate mindfulness techniques into daily life to increase awareness and management of own values, thoughts and emotions

critically evaluate the emotions and behaviours of self and others to enable learning from experience using a model of reflection

plan and implement strategies to foster a team climate, manage boundaries and facilitate role/task allocation, and giving and receiving feedback
