Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate skills in taking a full patient case history at a beginning student practitioner level
perform a full patient physical examination in an evidence-based context at a beginning student practitioner level
demonstrate and explain the diagnostic process in a specific case context at a beginning student practitioner level
implement and explain a management plan, including for chronic pain and neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation, and commence a safe, rational and evidence-based series of osteopathic treatments at a beginning student practitioner level
demonstrate professional behaviour and attitudes, including reliability and developing time management and data recording skills
reflect on own clinical practice skills and experiences
work collaboratively within a team on a research project proposal, retrieving and critically appraising relevant literature.
