Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate knowledge of advanced clinical anatomy of the cranium, lower limb, and upper limb regions

demonstrate knowledge of advanced functional anatomy of the cranium, thoracic, cervical and upper limb regions

demonstrate knowledge of human arthrokinematics and osteokinematics of biological tissues of the cranium, lower limb and upper limb regions

understand and explain the functional relationship of anatomical features and biomechanics of the cranium, thoracic, cervical and upper limb regions

Prescribed Resources/Equipment
  • Protective Clothing - Students must purchase and wear the following items to each laboratory class:

    • A white laboratory coat (available from Co-op Bookshop).
    • Fully enclosed, non-absorbent shoes (of leather, rubber or vinyl) with a sturdy sole and heel. Shoes must fully cover toes, heel, sides and top of foot.
    • Safety glasses (available from Co-op Bookshop).
