These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

investigate the relationship between mental functioning (psychosocial) and occupational performance and explain the impact of mental illness on occupational performance
articulate the role of occupational therapy within mental health services
critically discuss the implications of global trends, federal and state legislation and policies on occupational therapy in mental health services
conduct relevant assessments in order to investigate the relationship between occupational performance, mental health and substance addiction
apply knowledge of the person, occupation and environment in planning, implementing and evaluating collaborative mental health programs
apply theoretical perspectives and best practice models in planning and implementing occupational therapy programs for specific clients within a mental health practice setting
identify and assess the functional outcomes of intervention.
