Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

apply concepts and theories in the group work process and give constructive feedback to individuals about their leadership styles

prepare and conduct a group activity, demonstrating beginning level skills of group leadership and identify personal traits as a group leader

apply concepts and theories relevant to individual learning and systematic instruction

identify and define purposeful activity, and describe its use in occupational therapy

develop an appropriate instructional program for an individual case, using applied behaviour analysis and conduct an analysis of an occupation, activity or task from a real life situation

describe how occupations, activities and tasks can be analysed

develop skills in setting goals, selecting, and grading occupations, activities and/or tasks to achieve these goals in therapeutic settings.
