Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

reflect critically on personal strategies to maintain self-care and develop emotional intelligence to ensure safe professional and clinical practice

critically analyse the component parts of the ISBAR framework as it relates to effective communication in nursing

apply relevant interprofessional and discipline-specific ethical, legal, and regulatory principles, frameworks, and practice standards

demonstrate safe and effective practice for a range of foundational skills
