Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
articulate the value of research in contributing to developments in health and improving standards of care
discuss the strengths and limitations of various research study designs and the appropriateness of health research methods in improving quality patient care
generate a research question, understand appropriate methodology, and outline ethical considerations
reflect on the importance of the application of evidence-based nursing practice
