Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

critically review the role of the nurse in primary care settings within a primary health care framework

demonstrate knowledge and skills required to support vulnerable populations within a variety of primary care settings

demonstrate critical thinking skills for safe and competent nursing practice in primary care settings

investigate approaches used to work with the consumer and other health professionals to provide patient-centred care in primary care settings
