    Students will be required to attend on-campus classes and complete 170 clinical placement hours. This unit contains Work Integrated Learning (WIL) that requires students to meet mandatory fit to practice obligations prior to attending. Failure to comply by the fit to practice deadline will result in the cancellation of your WIL and you will not be permitted to continue in this unit. Unit description

Integrates, applies, consolidates and extends knowledge, skills and behaviours developed throughout the course in a 170-hour professional experience placement undertaken in a real-life primary care setting, as well as a geographically and/or culturally diverse setting.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

adapt attitude, behaviour, consultation, dialogue and environmental elements of the rapport process to primary and culturally/geographically distinct healthcare settings

use appropriate assessment techniques and diagnostic reasoning pertinent to primary and culturally/geographically distinct healthcare settings

plan and deliver safe and evidence-based naturopathic medicine therapeutics as applicable to primary and culturally/geographically distinct healthcare settings

apply the review process by reassessing patient progress, reflecting on one's practice and referring the patient where appropriate within primary and culturally/geographically distinct healthcare settings
