Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

analyse the purpose and application of practice-based research

demonstrate a critical understanding of whole systems research, including the benefits and limitations of this approach

critically describe the rationale and criteria for selecting suitable outcome measures

analyse the principles of good clinical practice and human research ethics

critically examine the benefits and limitations of diverse descriptive research methodologies

critically evaluate the benefits and limitations of different interventional research methodologies
