Enrolment information
Students will be required to engage with an organization (in the form of a placement) to conduct a health-related project. This unit contains professional experience learning that require students to fulfil certain vaccination and compliance requirements prior to attending. As some of these can take up to 5 months to complete, you must prepare now. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in you being unable to undertake the stipulated Professional Experience Learning which may result in failure of the unit. Full details are available at www.scu.edu.au/healthplacements.
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
develop a health-related project that addresses the needs of the stakeholder
evaluate the outcomes of an implemented health-related project as appropriate to the stakeholder
reflect on the outcomes of the health-related project, own learning and future project recommendations
communicate the outcomes of a health-related project to a broad audience
