    Students are required to attend scheduled classes and participate in online activities. Students will be required to attend on-campus classes and complete 8 observational clinical placement hours. This unit contains Work Integrated Learning (WIL) activities that require students to meet mandatory fit to practice obligations prior to attending. Unit description

Introduces students to the field of Naturopathic Medicine, and the foundations of the discipline.

  2. Philosophical foundations of naturopathic medicine
  3. Principles of naturopathic medicine I
  4. Principles of naturopathic medicine II
  5. Contemporary naturopathic medicine practice
  6. Clinical reasoning in naturopathic medicine

Learning outcomes

explain, individually or in a group, the underlying philosophies and principles of naturopathic medicine

discuss the scope and delivery of contemporary naturopathic medicine practice

recognise clinical reasoning frameworks applicable to the discipline of naturopathic medicine
