Unit description

Consolidates students' learning and applies their accumulated theoretical knowledge and skills to a selected area of midwifery practice. It provides an opportunity to enhance and deepen their capacity to undertake the role of the professional midwife

Unit content

  1. The midwife's role within the broader socio-political context
  2. Evaluation of the effectiveness of an intervention
  3. Critical evaluation of own performance
